A recent poll suggests we haven't lost it - yet: Majority back Afghan-style fighting
55% of our citizens endorse combat roles for a just cause, and a further 23% agreed with the addendum that casulaties would affect their support. Totalled, that's a pretty amazing 78%.

In regards to specific support for the current Afghanistan mission, we are at 54% in favour - it would seem we have a significant portion of potential supporters who only need convincing that what our troops are achieving is worth their efforts, and that we're making progress.

By any historically objective measure, we are currently engaged in the most effectively fought war in the history of the Canadian military - how can the government, and citizens 'in the know', ensure that this message is heard by more Canadian civilians?

Offer to let troops speak out - Get the real story from the men and women there, and get it out over the airwaves...

It's funny how close Left wing Pascifism is linked to collaboration. It's a fine line indeed. These people wouldn't lift a finger to save their own mothers in the face of an invasion by a foreign occupying force. They would rather collaborate to survive and turn in their fellow man. Since when did abandoning our friends who asked for our help become a Canadian value Mr. Layton?
