I don't know if I buy this.

Personally, I don't understand how people can like games like Grand Theft Auto. I find it disturbing to go around in the game harming innocent people. But some people seem to like it I guess.

Adults are probably safe playing as many video games as they wish - but there's evidence that violent media in general has a negative impact on the behaviour (and neurochemistry, and brain activity) of children and even teenagers.

It's the player's decisions within the game's environment and context which can result in disturbing imagery. This I feel conveys the medium's often unspoken brilliance.
