Manning would have been an alright choice.
I am so leaving the party if Dinning wins. Someone who supported Paul Martin's leadership bid can never have my support. That, and he got my last name wrong and ridiculed the CPC at the UACA table at the U of A. |

You'd be right. Oberg is coddling the unions, and Dinning is all over the map in terms of policy.
My personal favourite of Dinning's policies (because it's so absolutely out to lunch) is how he's promised that he'd make it so that no one under the age of 30 has to pay provincial income tax. |

wow... Thats a dangerous tax loophole if i've ever seen one...
The under 30 crowd are the people who need that the least anyhow. What bills do under 30s have ?? scary prospect.. |

I'm actually rather shocked by how lax the leadership campaign rules are in the Alberta PCs.
I think they need a major renewal in the party. |

Maybe this renewal will take part in Alberta choosing the 5th party to ever lead here. If the PC's seem like they arn't connected with the people anymore, I think they'd easly lose the next election (and that seems like something they're doing to me). Its my opinion that it was Ralf that was the reason why they've won so many elections. |

Right now I think:
Oberg has the best fiscal policies. But the union thing bothers me.
Morton has to get his policy message out. Or does he? I too have heard liberals say "If he wins, I'm outta here." Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
Norris - policies are still too vague.
MacPherson - at least he's making it interesting.
Dinning - forget it. The "Whopper" page on his website is a joke right?
Hancock - is he still in this race? |

Mark Norris is ok but I dont think he will win.
I am still deciding but Morton seems to be the only one with a plan.
Oberg should run for the Liberals, he is not quite corrupt enough but with a little practice..... :lol: |

I think Ed Stelmach probably has the most second choice votes and I think that's what his campaign has been geared toward all along.... sneak up the middle.
I think the top 4 after the first vote will be:
1 Morton
2 Dinning
3 Oberg
4 Stelmach |

My vote went for Morton.
The thing I respect most about him is his direct approach and no bologna style.
He's not a "focus group" politician or a "smooth operator".
He won't pussyfoot around an issue and when asked a question he will look you in the eye and give you a straight answer.
