It's also interesting that animal welfare groups are so often ready to claim that aboriginal peoples possess special insight and wildlife-stewardship abilities when it suits them, but that they will defect so readily, and so hypocritically, in a case like this one. The Inuit do not see the need for polar bear hunting to be restricted more than it already is, and they attest that the populations are mostly healthy, and have grown exponentially in the last few decades.
I was listening to Peter Mansbridge talking about endagered Polar bears and was waiting ofr him to mention how the numbers have decreased over the years. He didn'y so I looked it up. They have doubled in the last 20 years.
Climate terrorists rejoice! You put another one over on us!!!
If global warming has been going on for decaeds how can a species increase in size when there habitate is decreasing? Only a tree hugging climatologist can answer that one!
I still think we should convince a few polar bears to come down south of Newfoundland and start "harvesting" some of the excessive number of seals. If the Hollyweird crowd think a thump on the head is brutal, wait until they see what a polar bear does to a seal...
He just a talking head. Plus he's on early, so I can go to bed at 10:00. Watching him is relaxing. Sort of like a Mr.Rogers for adults.
I turn it off when the propaganda starts at the half way point. I do love the At Issue panel on Thursday.
