Yes and no. Some of it is being opposite to PMSH but there is an undercurrent of anti-Semitism of long standing in Quebec, particularly amongst the intellectuals and seperatists. The Liberals desperately want (need?) to re-establish themselves in Quebec so....

Incidentally, I was wondering if any Liberal bloogers or other oarty members out there had called for getting the Jews out of their party yet. Seems that it is coming. One poster here, that Buddy_cat person I believe said something to that effect. Seems like it may be becoming main stream sentiment.
PS. Here is it.

Since 911 the rule in international law is , "It's ok to commit war crimes, over a few bad apples". Israel might as well face it , what they did was a terror war crime. Will they be prosecuted for it? probably not. The UN is afraid of them and spineless as has been shown in the past where they refuse inspection by UN nuke inspectors and play there race trump card.
The double standard however is out in the open now and people have seen for them selves. I guess the name of the game now is to weed out the Israel supporters and their influence in Canadain government. Good Luck Iggy |

Buddy Kat can think whatever they want [however much wrong] - hezbollah are the irregular fighters - not the Israelis and - it's hezbollah and their supporters which are bent on the destruction of Israel - not a point some people like to think about when being critical of Israel.
Really it's all just - "over a few bad apples" - right? Wrong!

That is true. Repeatedly crying "Harper said we don't like Jews!" is going to reinforce the "we don't like Jews" part of it. Clearly I was wrong about guessing the statement would be harmful. |

I'm not sure I'd go that far - It could also have a negative effect on Harper too.. We do live in Canada after all ;) |
