If it i, you can bet that a new religion, similar to Environmentology, will spring up around it, somehow blaming it on man, and urging a massive transfer of wealth from the deveolped world to the developing world...

You're right, I think AlGoar developed that technique. He couldn't figure out why everyone was putting their head in the sand, so he tried it and discovered he could record the earth's temperature with his big floppy ears.
