I coded a new aggregation system last night. Now a historical record of BT posts will be kept (instead of just the last 40 at any time). You can scroll backward through the aggregated posts and display posts by author.

Blogging Tories lives off of the strength and participation of its community. Post your feedback to make the site as perfect as can be.

Thanks.
Stephen

I like the change, good work. One question though; how many pages will be recorded of older posts? Currently it is sitting at 17, is there a limit?

The biggest benefit will be increased content indexed by Google which will lead to more traffic.

yeah, I think 20-30 posts. I'll look at the code later on tonight.

There's no limit... just our server storage. But the same server hosts these forums which hold as much data per post as a BT blog post on the main page.

Scott, I'll take a look at your bug report. Thanks.

I like it Stephen, although like Craig I would list more posts per page.

Sweet... thanks! I am not sure but I don't think I have ever been in the aggregator.

40 per page seems to be about right.

The thing to remember, or course, is that most feeds or visits will only focus on the first page, so there'll probably be some traffic dropoff for individual blogs.

I don't know if you can do it but I'd make the name of the blog a link to the front page of that blog.

I was thinking of linking it to a blog profile on BT:
