Old Age (OAS) is a suppliment to the CPP.

If somebody doesn't have enough income (from the CPP and other sources) the OAS is supposed to top them up.

Then if their OAS and CPP combined still isn't enough there is the Guaranteed Income Suppliment that people can apply for.

The OAS and GIS can be clawed back if a person has other income.
