Perhaps as we gather tonight with family and friends to enjoy our Easter dinner and drinks we can take a moment or two to remember the sacrifices being made by our brave troops a long way from home.

First Pte Longtin, and now 2 others from the Van Doos.

This time, a CBC/RDI reporter - their Ottawa Bureau Chief Patrice Roy - and a cameraman, Charles Dubois, were hurt, the latter apparently seriously. An interpreter - Afghan presumably - also died.

Sad day. Doubly so, because Pte Longtin's body only came home today.

Another sad day. 2 dead. 3 injured.

A prayer for the fallen, their families, and their comrades. Please.

Remembrance Day is everyday for the soldiers in uniform. Let us hope that they find solace in the silence of their comrades-in-arms.
