How does the A-380 compare to a C5 Galaxy anyway? Which plane is bigger, which can carry more?

PS. Why didn't Airbus just license the Antonov An-225 design? It is huge, proven, and they could have saved themselves a lot of headaches.

Plus, the militarized A-380, that so many thought Canada should buy, still hasn't flown.

AirBus doesn't have the military experience that Boeing, Lockheed and Northrup have had collectively.

Remember that Airbus is a joint venture by the EUrowhinnie nations and I personally don't consider them reliable.

Boeing and Lockheed Martin's aircrafts are more reliable, last longer and do a better job than European made stuff.

Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. It is easy for someone who is uninformed to make off the cuff comments ......sort of like an armchair quarterback. There are no aircraft like the C17, Antonov, C141 or C5 in Canada. When you talk about Canadian companies you are talking about brokers who want to lease their services to the CF. They would then sign leasing agreements with the Ukraine companies to supply their Antonov's. This is unacceptable in military planning as it does not guarnatee available airlift assest whehn we need them. Buying our own C17's does. Before your post in the future, please do your homework.

There is no A380 military varient. I believe you are referring to A400M. That is their new military heavy lifter.
