The Great Global Warming Swindle is now available in North American format through Amazon.com (US site).
I couldn't find it at Amazon.ca.
Demand for downloaded versions has shot up since Gore and the IPCC got the nobel.

This could be a good thing. (From isohunt.com)
TGGWS most popular download: Seeds=3,862 Downloaders=1,151
An Incovenient Truth most popular: Seeds=352 Downloaders=104
Now I know more people already have Gore's film but the interest in TGGWS seems to be rising again. The most popular is the 950 MB .AVI version. |

Bump.
Up to 5612 seeds and 1500 downloaders.
This video is really gaining momentum.
My ratio is 30:1 so far. It feels good knowing that I'm spreading the truth about global warming 24/7. |

| I am on the fence as to whether global warning is man made, but I saw a response to the Great Global Warming Swindle on you tube. It pointed out several disortions made in the film, including mislabeling charts to give a false impression in the case of the middle ages being warmer, and cutting off the chart at a critical point in the global warming/sunspot relation chart. The chart is supposed to show the two diverge quite steeply , but it is cut off right before this point. |

Dolphin,
There is a huge amount of debate about The Great Global Warming Swindle all over the internet and beyond. The film does have a couple of errors which is unfortunate but it is also full of very good science and political observations. I've researched and read articles going far beyond the film and IMHO the contents of the film are quite sound except for said couple of errors. ( The MWP actually was warmer than present).
Compaired to this, as Al Gore admitted himself, An Inconvenient Truth is over the top.As I see it his film contains MANY exagerations and at least one total lie about the relationship between CO2 and temperature. That's one of the most important ones.
Anyway, I consider The Great Global Warming Swindle a good primer for the other side of the debate and it shows people that there still is a debate. Nothing is settled.
If The Great Global Warming Swindle puts AGW believers onto the fence and makes them think twice about the current hysteria, then it has accomplished something good. It has fostered a better "intellectual climate". From that point it's up to people to read more and get a bit more educated.
That's why I promote the film. It's the best we've got to counter Gore's film and the anxiety it's causing in many people.
Bill
Up again to 6048 seeds and 1548 downloaders. |

| Quote: | | Cambridge, MA - A review of more than 200 climate studies led by researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics has determined that the 20th century is neither the warmest century nor the century with the most extreme weather of the past 1000 years. The review also confirmed that the Medieval Warm Period of 800 to 1300 A.D. and the Little Ice Age of 1300 to 1900 A.D. were worldwide phenomena not limited to the European and North American continents. While 20th century temperatures are much higher than in the Little Ice Age period, many parts of the world show the medieval warmth to be greater than that of the 20th century. | http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/pre.....r0310.html |

| Quote: | Following the ice age threats from the late 1800s, fears of an imminent and icy catastrophe were compounded in the 1920s by Arctic explorer Donald MacMillan and an obsession with the news of his polar expedition. As the Times put it on Feb. 24, 1895, “Geologists Think the World May Be Frozen Up Again.”
Those concerns lasted well into the late 1920s. But when the earth’s surface warmed less than half a degree, newspapers and magazines responded with stories about the new threat. Once again the Times was out in front, cautioning “the earth is steadily growing warmer.”
After a while, that second phase of climate cautions began to fade. By 1954, Fortune magazine was warming to another cooling trend and ran an article titled “Climate – the Heat May Be Off.” As the United States and the old Soviet Union faced off, the media joined them with reports of a more dangerous Cold War of Man vs. Nature.
The New York Times ran warming stories into the late 1950s, but it too came around to the new fears. Just three decades ago, in 1975, the paper reported: “A Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable.” | http://www.businessandmedia.or.....andice.asp
In about the last 100 years, there have been 2 ice age scares and 2 warming scares in the media. We are still in the second warming scare. |

Activity in the "torrent" world has doubled for The Great Global Warming Swindle since Oct. 26.
From isohunt.com 8:30 PM MST: 8,242 people have the complete file available for download (seeds) and 2,245 people are in the process of downloading it. It's been slowly increasing day by day and spreading quickly.
That's a lot of folks willing to leave the file seeding on their machines for others to get. Lets hope it stays that way for a while. |

That's great Craig. Keep up the fight!
I'm up at 70 for 4 different formats with 39 of that for the avi. I've got it on a limited upload scheduler and only run full bore at night. Had complaints from the family about slow net access. I guess if you're maxing out the upload bandwidth then it slows everything down and you don't want to do that to your teenage daughter! |

I can't believe this little film got to this number.
Tonight from isohunt.com:
Seeds - 10,096
Downloaders - 3,262
It just keeps rising. I guess a few people around the globe want to see it. |

And still moving up the charts is the little film that could!!!
With the Bali meetings under way I thought I'd post an update on the proliferation of TGGWS.
Seeds - 13,031
Downloaders - 4,778
I would estimate over 10,000 copies per day are being distributed as download times are less than 6 hours on average. (conservative estimate).
Death by 10,000 cuts a day? |
