On Friday the President of the Sarnia-Lambton Federal Liberal Association resigned, citing Stephane Dion's "leadership" as her reason for leaving.

Itís better to die on your feet than to live on your knees....The oppositionís role isnít to survive, itís to oppose. Iím a little disappointed.

The longer you delay (forcing an election) the weaker you become. People do not follow weakness, they follow leaders. They are setting themselves up for a real fall

Did you hear that Mr. Dion? People do not follow weakness, they follow leaders.

It's still not enough. Until the Liberals as an organization finally admit there's a problem, not simply with Dion's non-leadership but with their entire venal organization, these kind of defections and resignation will continue. It might have been better for the Liberals if their party had been stripped of it's constitution as a result of the Sponsorship scandal. That way, the "prize" of the name "Liberal" would be gone and the two groups battling for domination would have no reason to keep fighting.

Those in the Liberal party that backed Dion are clinging to their jobs and those who backed Ignatieff and thinking of the future and sitting tight 'til the party falls (one way or another). I don't think anyone will admit anything...

The best thing about all this is that the message is starting to resonate to the people. The voters. Those who REALLY matter when it comes to making changes in government. And I'm not just talking about people like us that follow politics closely. I'm talking about the large percentage of people (majority?) that don't follow politics at all or just catch what's on the 10:00 news or what's on the front page of a newspaper.

Even those who have voted Liberal all their lives because their parents were Liberal voters are taking notice. Do they really want DION to be the face that represents Canada?

True moderate lefties will vote for the moderate righties and those who still believe the smear campaign on Harper will vote NDP (the "real" opposition). In quebec, the message that the Bloc is the "irrelevant party" is starting to break through as well and many of those votes are going to the Conservatives, from polls I've seen.

All of this adds up to the Liberals in a MAJOR rebuilding mode both before and after the next election and if and when Ignatieff leads the Liberal party the Conservatives have plenty of ammunition againt this character as well.
- anti-Canadian (has lived outside Canada for most of his adult life)
- Arrogant
- Likes to hide his sh!%
Just to start....

He might gain seats in Toronto but he'll lose even more in Quebec and by the time the Liberals regroup, the Conservatives will have accomplished so much, that it would be difficult to vote them out of power.

That's my Nostradamus moment of the day.... lol
