This is a tutorial showing people how to create conservative torrents and seed existing ones (legal ones of course).
Prerequisites:
Torrent software - I would recommend uTorrent (www.utorrent.com)
To seed existing torrents...
1. Go to a torrent site...
www.isohunt.com
http://www.torrentreactor.net/
http://www.bittorrent.com/nowplaying?csrc=splash
And find conservative videos (e.g. search for "global warming swindle" at isohunt).
2. Download the torrent to your hard drive.
3. Open your torrent software (uTorrent) and open the torrent you downloaded.
4. Download the video.
5. Once the video is downloaded you will become a seed which makes it easier for others to download the video.
6. Download a collection of conservative videos and seed them on a continuous basis (you can limit the upload bandwidth to keep your ISP happy) - see figure 1
To create new torrents...
1. Download a conservative video from youtube or another source
2. Open your torrent software (uTorrent) and under the "File" menu click "Create New Torrent"
3. Select the video you downloaded
4. It will ask you for a "tracker". There are many trackers out there but I would recommend...
http://tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
5. Once you have created your torrent you need to upload it to the tracker you specified...
http://thepiratebay.org/upload
Note: You may need to create an account depending on the tracker you chose.
6. Add the torrent to your torrent software and people will start downloading it. |

without getting into my personal feelings on this topic;
I think it is best for people to support conservative documentarians by purchasing their works; they are severely underfunded and under-represented. Additional income for these people will ensure a broader spectrum of conservative-minded ideas.
Please do this only with free-access conservative movies (what you do with non-conservative movies... well, i could frankly care less) |

I am familiar with torrents and will do this for sure!
It would be easier though if we could submit a list of legal (meaning their is no legal objection to their torrent use) list of Conservative videos.
I don't know really what to download.
Oh and another site to recommend Craig:
http://www.torrentspy.com
Its the one I always use. |

Good idea. Please submit any you find and I will as well. Even if they aren't legal to download they will be worth viewing.
UPDATE: They are hard to find!!! |

| I noticed that "Lake of Fire" is in the conservative documentaries bit. For those who might not know "Lake of Fire" is a far more unbiased look at abortion, it shows the extremes on both sides and also showcases those who are far more moderate including the pro-life atheist/civil libertarian Nat Hentoff. |

| Quote: | Dear Friend,
The current economic crisis has provided vested interests with an
opportunity to try to discredit fiscal conservatism, and push for an
agenda of bigger government, higher taxes, and less individual
freedom.

<http>
Our shared conservative values are currently under attack on a wide
variety of fronts:
In parliament, where the combined opposition attempted to replace
the legitimately elected Conservative government.
On various university campuses where the freedom of speech of
conservative campus clubs, pro-life activists, and pro-Israel
academics is being seriously curtailed in the name of “political
correctness”.
In the market place where a host of anti-business interests and
commentators are calling for a massive return to excessive government
regulation and intervention.
Right now, we face the very real danger of conservative gains from
the past twenty years being rolled back.
I know that this is something you care about, which is why I’m
writing to you today.
So what is the Manning Centre doing to counter these attacks? To
make sure that Canada is a country where freedom of economic
opportunity is optimized, where government is modest in size and
fiscally responsible, and where your children can freely speak their
minds? The following is a partial list of our key activities and
programs:
The Manning Networking Conference and Exhibition (just held in
Ottawa) brings together conservative thinkers and activists to address
such questions as “What is the best possible conservative response
to the economic downturn?”
Our Faith/Politics Interface Program helps Canadians of all faiths
to participate more wisely, graciously, and effectively in our
democratic process;
The Manning School of Practical Politics trains conservatives in the
mechanics of Canada’s political and democratic practices, from
door-knocking to constituency organization to campaign management;
Our success depends on the generous support of conservative-minded
Canadians like you.
I urge you to click on the donate button and make a donation of
$100, or another amount you can manage.
Together, we can ensure that the conservative movement becomes
wiser, stronger, and more effective than ever.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Preston Manning
President and CEO
*P.S.* Our administrative costs are already covered, so 100% of your
contribution will go directly to program spending. This means every
dollar you give directly helps to strengthen the conservative movement
in Canada.

| Has anyone ever donated to the Manning center? I am thinking, either them, or the Taxpayers Federation. Or possibly, just because lefties hate it so much, the NCC. Right now, the Conservative party is not pushing policy I want, so no point giving them money. |

I've thought about it, but I haven't seen a lot of action from the Manning School of Practical Politics, which is what I'm most interested in. It also seems like a lot of their efforts are concentrated in Ottawa.
Have you looked at the Fraser Institute? They put out a lot of good research, I know quite a few people who send them small amounts. |

Bump
If you haven't downloaded uTorrent and started seeding conservative videos please consider doing so.
If you are aware of other great conservative videos/documentaries please list them hear (especially if you can find them on isohunt.com). Spread conservative values - goodness knows the media won't do it. |
