12 out of 14 for the first 3 rounds

 It might be time to change my name to Ardvark the Greek.

For the final round it will be Ottawa in no more than 6 games.

Stanley comes home.

Just noticing that Anaheim is the most penalized team of this years playoffs. They have the top penalized player, Rob Niedermayer at 39 minutes, and 7 players with 20 or more penalty minutes. Ottawa has one player with 20 penalty minutes. If they try to play shorthanded against Ottawa, they will get absolutely killed.

In America 1.5 million hockey viewers got their overtime hockey game cutoff in favour of a horse race that rakes 5.5 million viewers. When horse racing has more fans in America then someting must be wrong with this picture.

Paint ball has more fans than the NHL, at least in the US. I don't think they know good game when they see it.

I think it is the mismanagement of the franchise that has US fans ignoring it. Until they learn to control salaries and keep the players on the ice it will never take off. We enjoy a few games here in Tulsa with our local team, but the NHL has lost me for good until they iron out their management.

Well, the season starts this week.

There will be no repeat for the Ducks. The goon show worked once, but everybody is watching for it now.

Colorado will return to the playoffs. They have the best scouting in the league, they always have good rookies, and youth is what works in the salary capped NHL of today.

Ottawa will not have the same success as last season

Crosby will be better than Ovechkin, again. Crosby has all around game that can elevate a team. Ovechkin does not have that. Crosby is like Mario Lemieux, Ovechkin more like Jagr. Both great players, but you know who gets the nod for captain.

Luongo will carry Vancouver, again.

Lecavalier will dominate the league, again. I just cannot get over how intensely that guy competes, and how good he is. Same goes for St Louis. If Richards ever played at their level for a season, they could not be stopped.

I like the Penguins, although I don't think they will get past the third round they are due to win the Stanley Cup in a few years, perhaps becomming the modern version of the Edmonton Oilers of old. Although Crosby will never be Gretzky, there will be a great rivalary between him & Ovechkin. This year I'm pulling for the Sens, after last year I think they deserve better.

They should just lay ugly head shots on Pronger every chance they get. Come to think of it, the goonery is from the top down in that organization. Lay some ugly head shots on Duck targets of opportunity, all year long.

PS. I think the Pens will surprise people this year.
