Duncan Hunter won the Texas straw poll yesterday......

Thompson second and, wait for it, Ron Paul third! The most visible support outside of the closed straw poll was for Ron Paul. These polls are not even open to all registered GOP voters. Ya gotta be a part of the good 'ol boy club or be invited in as a 'friend'.

I dont care about a mentally deranged candidate... He is a real nut with no knowledge of the outside world.

And your proof of that? The GOP is so scared of Ron Paul because he tells the truth!

LoL

The man loses it whenever anyone confronts him. The man isn't emotionally fit to be President. He thinks nothing is going to happen to Iraq and the Iraqis if we leave.
He believes the Iranian regime is telling us and the IAEA the truth.

He's dangerous. The man isn't fit to be President.

He's passionate. That is more than you can say for all the canned answers we get from the rest of the bunch. He never said nothing was going to happen, he just stated that the same people who said Iraq would be a cake walk are saying it will be a bloodbath if we leave and we shouldn't buy their logic. I agree. There will definitely be violence but that is the problem of the muslims that can't get along. He never said that Iran was telling the truth, he merely pointed out that the IAEA is saying Iran is complying fully with them and that we don't need to be threatening them. You are right, he is dangerous! That's exactly what we need. He is dangerous to the established socialist GOP/lib scum regime and he is exactly what this country needs to return to its Constitutional roots. If we don't we'll all go down yapping the party line on the way.

If you're Canadian, then I'm not sure why you would like Ron Paul. He's an isolationist who would (or at least would like to) pull out of free trade agreements and frequently attacks NAFTA as a threat to US sovereignty and the American economy. I have no idea how he reasonably can argue this, given the growth and relative success of the US economy since its implementation, but if one thought Obama was stupid in his comments on renegotiating NAFTA (and not just for referring to the "President of Canada"), then they'd have to conclude Paul is out of touch with reality. I cannot find specifically his view on WHTI, but I would suspect he supports the measure, given both his isolat, and WHTI has the potential to significantly hurt the Canadian tourism industry as well as that of the US, particularly border states. I simply do not believe he'd be a friend of Canada (or really, any other nation) at all.

Everyone has their price. I would withdraw from NAFTA in a minute and so would many Americans who see it facilitating a massive trade defecit and high paying manufacturing jobs being shipped overseas. If it has been so good for our economy, why are we approaching 9 trillion in debt, a falling dollar, and wide open borders? It is also a vehicle for the NAU which will happen over my dead body.

Impressive, I didn't think he had a chance.
