I suppose this is a new rule for the forums. I lock threads when the get off topic with no hope of recovery to the original topic.
Also, threads will be locked when the topic has become stale (ie. if about an event months ago that nobody is talking about today, even in the thread bearing its name) |

When locking a thread, could you give a one line reason why it was locked? I think people would get less upset if you give an explanation. This will also help dispel,"conservatives don't care about anybody else's point of view" myth.
