| Has anyone read the Western Standard's story concerning what the Federal Conservative Government has in store for the CBC? |

| Sounds like what i'd do with it. As long as the CBC remains in gov't hands, it should be limited to doing the kinds of things the private broadcasters don't do, which is OK by me. |

I read it... I'm not a CBC fan at the best of times, so I would prefer to see the CBC privatized but... one step at a time?

| It actually sounds like the CBC is taking care of itself. Once HNIC is gone, all the government has to do is wait for the next strike, see that no one noticed, and quietly turn off the lights and lock the doors. |
