As an ex pot smoker and dealer (9 years), I can vouch for the fact that smoking tha ganj is much worse than smoking cigs. Even a filter less cig doesn't end up black with rosin at the end like a good spliff right! Then you smoke that roach all the way out till you're inhaling sparks and paper, getting every last bit of black rosin inhaled and held into your lungs. Do you inhale as deeply with cigs? No! Do you take big fat bong rips of Camels and inhale them as deeply using a good pull carb on a good glassy? No! Yeah man, like whoa! I haven't had that much of a revelation since last time I tripped on some good blotter man. Peace.... |

Sounds to me like you have to talk like that to help not miss it so much.
I rarely smoke joints and only because of my activism work.

it might surprise you to know that a third of our candidates in the marijuana party had never smoked cannabis.
It might also surprise you to learn your body has receptors for some of cannabis's active ingredients. It doesn't for garlic and certain not for alcohol which kills cells.
you and i can listen to them as they dissect both us at death and you will be able to say to me that yes the doctors thought my body had a little more poison in it than yours,,but maybe not,, we will see most definitely until that time i will stay in charge of me thanks

Okay 2 things
1) Neither is better or worse for you, it depends on a whole range of factors. How much and how often are the biggest. Neither smoking cigs or pot is good for you. Only a silly person would teoll you they did nothing bad. In terms of deaths cigs cause far more than any other drug or guns in every developed country I am aware of.

Um okay that post was a waste.
Either get a vapo or bake it, it wont get rid of the health problems but it will minimize them. If your smokign for 9 years and not doing that.... well thats your choice. |

Basically what is needed (justice and criag) is a long term study of pot smokers. Some uni is probably already on this.

So really, I think the point here is that it not quite as harmless as some advocates say. If people were to smoke similar quantities of both, the pot smokers would be worse off. But as someone else was saying, its pretty rare to find users smoking "a pack a day" of marihuana.

Next time you look at a cigarette butt, look at the end of the filter and notice the nice brown colour...kind of looks like the pipe you were talking about. Guess where that stuff ends up in addition to the filter? |

But I have the guts and the principle to also recognize alcohol is just as bad OR WORSE than marijuana and I believe hard liquor should be illegal also.
Anything that effects your judgment for a non-medical reason should be illegal. |

Maybe ask Harper why he cut the funding we finally had in place for the recognized research to prove what we say.

$4 million was to be spent and would have paved the way for $ 5 billion to be cut from pharmaceutical companies profits ,we needlessly pay.

If you had said you had molested children for 9 years ,do you think you would be pursued ?
And do you realize some are doing more jail time for cannabis then some do for child molestation?

I believe I am smarter by far ,, than I ever was as a "none user" (I was 27 the first time of any consequence) Healthier as well.
That believe part is the key part ,, no one here ever talks about or sees as relevant.
Do you really think than that jail time ,,,even if we omit the evidence that cannabis smoke because of what it contains stops any harm done to the lungs even with cigarette smoke used quickly after the cannabis ,,for a while (there are sites that have this info) and say it is true ,,,are you dying of cancer?
Are you stupid?
Brain damaged?
Slow?
Less of a human?
Did it make you want to do heroin? coke?
What would it have cost us tax payers to have arrested and jailed you? and how much of what you contributed to the community over those un-wasted years would have been lost?
JAIL? for smoking a plant? , a weed?
Because it costs as all things in life do?
Can I ask if we should deny fat people medicare? or unlucky sky divers ?

In graves, rotting. You present a lot of really good fallacies. Some people can smoke their whole life and not die from it. Other people may die of lung cancer and never have smoked. Would not the logical lifestyle choices lead to reducing your chances of dying? Not smoking either cigs or weed greatly reduces your chances of dying from lung cancer. From my personal experience I believe smoking pot was a greater risk to my health than cigs. You may have a different experience. Good for you.
