Who has the best high interest savings account? I currently use ING's, but I am seriously thinking about switching to Icici. Icici is paying 4.5%, a full 1% more than ING. Plus, ING has contests that I never win, and they only serve to piss me off.

Note that RBC's 4% is an introductory rate. You have to watch out for those terms and conditions, hidden fees, skulduggery, dastardliness, etc..

No one trusts banks. That is why I routinely review my banking situation to see if I am still getting a satisfactory deal. Banks have no loyalty to me, so I feel no loyalty towards them. I have switched banks about 4 times in the last decade, chasing low fees and high interest savings, and it has worked pretty good.

That is why I want to know who currently has the best deal, with no hidden fees. Is there an Icici customer out there with first hand experience?

President's Choice Financial has pretty good rates on their savings accounts. I'm a customer of theirs and I like them.

I also heard on the radio that Alternabank is offering 4.5% on one year deposits.
