There is a big difference between believing in climate change and believing in man-made climate change.

CBC runs with this story...

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story.....-poll.html

Highlighting that almost 80% of Canadians believe in climate change. SOOOO!!! The big question is whether man is responsible for it. If we aren't then destroying our economy is for nothing. But CBC doesn't bother with this important distinction.

i have a question. has anyone ever considered that fact that the amount of HEAT we emmit might be causing the warming trends? i mean industrialisation over the last 100 years coupled with the increase in the earths albedo (the dark of cities such as pavement and buildings holds heat better than virgin land) and the fact that there are 6.5 billion of us has to amount to a significant amount of created on earth heat.

thoughts?

I think there is a documented 'heat island' effect that occurs in (very) large cities. IIRC, it tends to raise the ambient temperature in the city by perhaps 2-3 degrees celsius, and is mostly an effect of mass quanities of steel, concrete, and asphault retaining and slowly transfering infrared radiation.
