I am reading "humans" by Robert J. Sawyer (fiction) and "Inside the Third Reich" by Albert Speer.
Speer had 20 years to think about and write the book and he does take a suprising amount of responsibility for his actions.
What are you all reading these days? |

I just finished 'Why the West Has Won', by Victor Davis Hanson. Thoroughly enjoyable, which unfortunately meant it only lasted me a week. Before that I read one by Carl Sagan, which I didn't find quite as enjoyable as when I read it in highschool. I'm thinking about picking up that Stephen Harper book by Paul Wells, or maybe another book from VDH... any recommendations? |

French Kiss by Chantelle Herbert. Amazing insite into what makes Quebec tick.
The part on why the NDP can never get a seat in QC is worth the price of the book alone.
Every page has a new revelation. I always wanted a window into the mind of this province. Used to use Le blog de Polyscopique but there hasn't been a new post in a number of months. |

John Stossell "Myths, Lies and Downright stupidity."
The book is really worth the read!! I couldn't put it down and read it all yesterday.
I do not agree with everything he says and you won't either, but you will see the need to talk about a great many things.
Also, he says something fascinating about his experience in writing consumer material: The conservatives may disagree, but will talk, (Stossell is Libertarian). The liberals refuse to talk, they just yell. According to Stossell, the difference is stark. I tend to agree with him. |
