The road through the playoffs, for Detroit, has been through Alberta 2 seasons running has it not? It was Edmonton, then Calgary that knocked them off, low seeded long shots both times. So add in the payback motivation for Detroit; they will be bringing their best game, they know what Calgary will be bringing, and they are the best in the West.

Calgary just lost to Edmonton at home. I revise my prediction to Detroit in 4.

Yeah, after they announced that Colorado had lost, they started their coast into the playoffs. I expect another loss on the road to finish the season. Calgary will be resting some key players, and Colorado will want to be sending a message.

PS. Who thinks Calgary can win it? Did those pot smokers come back?

I would love to see Calgary win this matchup but I think Calgary's road record plus the fact that they are in a mini-slump right now isn't really helping things. I'm hoping that it'll go 7 and let the best team at the time win.

The Flames will put up a fight, but Detroit will win in the end

Calgary definitely did not have the answer today. By the looks of it, they were even unaware of the question.

Well, game 2 is not done yet, but from what I have seen, the Flames do not stand even one chance. Detroit is making them look absolutely silly out there, like a rookie WHL squad. Calgary is undisciplined, disorganized, they look under-manned. Is Detroit that good, or is this just the Calgary road game?

Well another very disapointing game from the Calgary Flames. One bright spot for Calgary was that Kipper played amazing yet again. Hopefully now that they're heading home they'll play much better.

Oh yeah, almost any other goalie and Detroit scores 8 goals. Kipper is the only one who has showed up to play so far. Maybe the home game gets the train back on the rails, but I would not bet on it.

Nice to see that Calgary played a great game in front of the "RED MILE" and came out with a great hard fought victory. Hopefully this victory will give them some much needed confidence and help them at least get 1 win on the road.

Did you see that hit on that dirty hitter Phaneuf? I almost laughed out loud.

Yeah that was a crazy hit. Any hit that makes Phaneuf stumble afterwards and head to the dressing room is huge. How Phaneuf hit the boards reminded me of the hit that Kaberle took about a month and a half ago.

Well, I was completely wrong. Calgary actually won 2 home games.
