Recent News to take note of...

"Iran has begun mass production of an anti-ship cruise missile, state television's website said on Saturday. The Zafar missile, "is a short-range, anti-ship cruise missile capable of destroying small- and medium-sized targets with high precision".

It can be mounted on speed boats, can withstand electronic warfare, and is able to fly in low altitudes to avoid detection, the report said
."

"A senior Israeli official said Thursday that the missile testing site near Tehran that was destroyed in a huge explosion three months ago was developing missiles with a range of about 6,000 miles that could reach the United States."

So it appears that Abbas is proceeding with his nonsense plan this week in the U.N. of a unilateral declaration of statehood - what a foolish move. Here is what Abbas really appears like:

So let them declare statehood - then there is NO need for peace negotiations.

Borders are set as is - no 'right of return' no shared Jerusalem - with a declaration of statehood Abbas is rescinding all claim to the noted points.

So [it goes without saying] no longer is there a refugee problem - if they declare statehood.

The 'thinking' world knows that Israel has offered them a sweet deal - twice!

AS sad as it is to say it - the Palestinian's don't appear to ever want peace with Israel - to be once and for all confirmed - with a unilateral declaration of statehood.

Palestinian President hails new era of ‘partnership’ with Hamas

"The Hamas-Fatah rapprochement has been criticized by Israel, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday saying he hoped Abbas, widely known at home as Abu Mazen, “would stop the reconciliation process with Hamas.”

“The closer Abu Mazen gets to Hamas, the further he moves away from peace,” Netanyahu spokesman Mark Regev told AFP."

So perhaps the above editorial caricature I made of Abbas a few years ago - isn't so far off after all...

After months of wavering, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has taken a decisive step toward reconciliation with the Islamic militant group Hamas, a move Israel promptly warned would close the door to any future peace talks.

In a deal brokered by Qatar, Abbas will head an interim unity government to prepare for general elections in the Palestinian territories in the coming months. The agreement appeared to bring reconciliation — key to any statehood ambitions — within reach for the first time since the two sides set up rival Palestinian governments in the West Bank and Gaza in 2007.

U.S. does not believe Iran is trying to build nuclear bomb

http://www.latimes.com/news/na.....7032.story

What will it take - U.S. intelligence made the mistake [?] in thinking that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - Bush made a HUGE mess pursuing what he knew did not exist and NOW this current president is making a mirrored version of the same mistake!

"Iran sits on 50 percent of the world's energy [supplies] and if it wants, Europe will spend the winter in a chill," Hossein Salami said, according to the Fars News Agency.

Salami also issued a warning against Iran's regional enemies. "Our missiles are now able to target any spot in which the conspirators are in, and the country is making advances in all fields," he said.

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1153016.html

The Iranian leadership threatened the embargo - in January 2010 - look at what the news reads like this week:

Iran has warned it may extend an oil embargo imposed on Britain and France to other European countries, and launched a military exercise to strengthen key nuclear sites against air strikes as a team of UN inspectors arrived in the country.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/worl.....il-embargo

Well who wants to continue to see the U.S. pursue false diplomacy? Who wants to wager on the results of such false diplomacy?

We are all at risk at some point...the leaders of the 'free world' having learned nothing from history?

IS OBAMA THE " USEFUL IDIOT" FOR THE BROTHERHOOD?

“It would be catastrophic for Arabs, more than for Israel, if the new Islamic leaderships rush to drag Israel into wars and conflict. The reason there is a good possibility for a conflict is that, rightly or wrongly, the Musli8m Brotherhood is under the impression that they have their man in the White House, an opportunity that might be short-lived.
Because Obama’s reelection is not guaranteed, the Islamists will probably ignore their people’s priorities and opt for an attack on Israel before the end of Obama’s first term, while the opportunity lasts. I would not be surprised to see an all-out war against Israel in the summer of 2012.”

Here is [some of] what the Ancient Srimad Bhagavatam tells us about this kind of 'leadership' in the current 'age of quarrel' we're in:

"There will be many such uncivilized kings ruling at the same time, O King Pariksit, and they will all be uncharitable, possessed of fierce tempers, and great devotees of irreligion and falsity.

These barbarians in the guise of kings will devour the citizenry, murdering innocent women, children, cows and brahmanas and coveting the wives and property of other men. They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any Vedic rituals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance.

The citizens governed by these low-class kings will imitate the character, behavior and speech of their rulers. Harassed by their leaders and by each other, they will all suffer ruination. [Srimad Bhagavatam 12.1.38-41]

When dead, the bodies of all the rulers known as kings and great leaders will be transformed into worms, stool or ashes. If one enviously kills others for the protection of such a body, does he actually know the true interest of life? Certainly he does not, for if one is envious of other entities, he surely goes to hell. [SB 6.18.25]

Thus the demons, being fond of disastrous activities, took Hiranyakasipu's instructions on their heads with great respect and offered him obeisances. According to his directions, they engaged in envious activities directed against all living beings. [SB 7.2.13]

The body that at first rides high on fierce elephants or chariots adorned with gold and is known by the name "king" is later, by Your invincible power of time, called "feces," "worms," or "ashes." [SB 10.51.50]

Even though a person's body may now have the designation "king," in the end its name will be "worms," "stool" or "ashes." What can a person who injures other living beings for the sake of his body know about his own self-interest, since his activities are simply leading him to hell? [SB 12.2.41]

So in these few texts we can see some descriptions and elucidations on a certain kind of leadership - it's only up to each individual leader whether he or she is - bogus or not.

America is changing and it may be following the trends of this Age of Kali - the Age of Quarrel that we're currently in. It did NOT start with Obama! The real slippery slope started under Bush and Co. and their 'involvements' with the Saudis and others despotic types of the Arab world throughout the last 20+ years.

No one wants to admit it but..who knows the truth behind the shady political realities of today's world anymore? Truth can be stranger than fiction in today's inside-out world.

I hope that the good American people can prevent the full out hijacking of their country. I'm hopeful that our Conservative government will stay in place at least long enough to help Canada weather the changing 'socialization' of America!

"...the demoniac, who are lost to themselves and who have no intelligence, engage in unbeneficial, horrible works meant to destroy the world." [Bhagavad Gita 16.9]

“The core of the conflict is not settlements, the core of the conflict is not the territories, the core of he conflict is not the absence of a Palestinian state. The core of the conflict is the persistent refusal to reconcile to an independent nation-state of the Jewish people.”

A sad evening in Washington, as Palestinians celebrate unity

"News of Fatah-Hamas reconciliation caught Kerry entirely off guard, and at very bad timing."

Caught Kerry off guard? Anyone actually believe that drivel?
